Map Editor
Message mapping is used to transform a data message from one format to another format. The Map Editor allows the developer to configure the mapping assignments (and additional logic) between the Source and Target formats. The main parts of this editor (left to right) are the Operation Properties tab for property settings, the Source and Target trees for input and output data formats, the Operation Tree where all map operations are configured and the Operation Palette which enables mapping operations. Refer to the Map Editor Guide for a detailed description of this Editor.

Message Format Editor
ChainBuilder ESB is built upon the JBI standard, allowing by its very definition, XML messages to be easily configured, mapped, and processed. However, there are many legacy systems that have their own unique non-XML messaging requirements. ChainBuilder ESB can create integration components for non-XML formatted messages through the Message Format Editor and Message Definition Language(MDL). Message Definition Language files are modified through the Message Format Editor via fill-in-the-blank, drag and drop and menu selections. Refer to the Message Format Editor Guide for a detailed description of this Editor.

X12 Editor
X12 format is a standard for EDI electronic commerce developed by the American National Standards Institute. ChainBuilder ESB allows for the creation of new ("variant") X12 message definitions, and the modification of existing definitions, as simplay as the drag/drop of fields within the tree. ChainBuilder ESB's X12 Editor creates integration components for X12 messages for use by the ChainBuilder ESB Parser Service Engine. Refer to the X12 Editor Guide for a detailed description of this Editor.

HL7 Editor
HL7 format is a standard for Healthcare to enable the exchange and interoperability of electronic health records. ChainBuilder ESB allows for the creation of new ("variant") HL7 message definitions with a more robust editor that other value-driven HL7 interfaces, like Mirth. The modification of an existing definition can be as easy as the drag/drop of a field within the displayed tree. ChainBuilder ESB's HL7 Editor creates integration components for HL7 messages for use by the ChainBuilder ESB Parser Service Engine. For more information about using ChainBuilder ESB in healthcare integrations, visit the ChainBuilder for Healthcare page.
